How to say your age in French: j'ai… ans
Ask someone's age and say yours.
I can ask someone's age and say mine.
You have your age
In French you don't say you are thirty. You say you have thirty years: J'ai trente ans.
Never drop ans: J'ai vingt ans, not J'ai vingt.
Je + ai becomes j'ai. French joins little words like this whenever the next word starts with a vowel.
- J'ai trente ans.
- I'm thirty.
- Tu as quel âge ?
- How old are you?
